EAV Meridian Assessment

Electro Acupuncture According to Voll

EAV testing is used to conduct a comprehensive health evaluation.  It does not provide a medical diagnosis but invaluable information about what may be the underlying causes of an acute or chronic health condition.

EAV testing is used clinically to measure the body’s energetic imbalances, and helps the practitioner determine the most appropriate individualized protocols for restoring balance.  EAV testing is a computerized bio-energetic testing method in which a very low voltage electrical charge is introduced into the body, after which precise levels of electrical current are measured at specific acupuncture points.  The measurements taken are translated onto a computer graph which allows the patient and practitioner to view areas of excess and deficiency within the organs and systems of the body.

Reinhardt Voll, a German Medical Doctor did his research over 50 years ago.  He was the first person to determine that you could take an electrical measurement of the energies flowing through acupuncture meridians.  This system of testing is based on the ancient Chinese medical theory that improper energy flow through the meridians causes imbalances in the physical, mental and emotional bodies.  Various stimuli may then be introduced, and any change in electrical conductivity provides useful diagnostic information.  This is a highly accurate method for evaluating the many causes of physiological stress and disease.  This technology was brought to the US in the mid 1970’s and is widely used throughout Europe, particularly Germany, France, England and Canada.

What can it do?

  • Identify areas of excess or deficiency and organ stress that may be caused by toxic materials.

  • Determine the energetic and functional level of each organ.

  • Indicate the foods that are best suited to your specific biochemical make-up and which should be avoided.

  • Identify environmental sensitivities to heavy metals (mercury and aluminum), and allergic sensitivities to yeast, mold, fungus and pollen.

  • Indicate vitamin, mineral, amino acid, and essential fatty acid imbalances.

  • Identify specific dental stressors that might contribute to health problems.

  • Test for toxicity and drainage levels, and their effects on energy and organ functions.

  • Suggest whether there is a condition present that may require traditional medical treatment or further testing.

  • Detect imbalances that are developing before they manifest as serious health conditions.

How does it work?

EAV is a painless and non-invasive procedure.  There are no side or after effects, no piercing of the skin, discomfort or electrical impulses are felt during the testing process.  The only clothing that must be removed are shoes and socks or stockings.  The computer measures the degree of electrical resistance at acupuncture points, generally on the hands and feet.

The computer can detect low level reactions in the body as it’s measurements indicate the condition of the organ systems.  Once a baseline is established and treatment plan is given, follow-up testing helps monitor the patient’s progress.

The results of the initial measurements are correlated with a large database of information to help select appropriate therapies and remedies (such as herbs, homeopathic remedies and nutritional supplements).  The objective is to learn what will assist the body to achieve a state of homeostasis.  A balanced body will show no excess or deficiency of energy readings in any system or meridian.
